First Friday Flick - The Bounty Hunter

Come to the library Friday, September 3rd at 7:00pm  for a free screening of the romantic comedy "The Bounty Hunter" starring Jennifer Aniston and Gerard Butler. Refreshments will be provided.

Fall Programs in the Children's Room Announced

This fall will be a wonderful season in the Children's Room. Beginning the week of September 13th, we'll be hosting programs for children of all ages from storytimes to visits from local favorites like the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Zoo, MusicWorks, the Handwork Studio, Please Touch Museum and Mad Science!

Check EventKeeper for all the details. A few programs require registration which will begin on September 1st at 10am. Make sure to read the description of the program you are interested in to determine if you need to register.

Save the Date: 2010 Open the Book Gala

Preparations are being made for the 5th Annual Open the Book Gala to be held at the Llanerch Country Club in Havertown. The evening will begin at 7:00PM on Saturday, October 9, 2010, with an open bar and hors d'ouevres, followed by dinner and dancing-music provided by the Ken Ulansey Ensemble. Cocktail attire.

Library Card Sign-Up Month!

September is Library Card Sign-up Month, and the Haverford Township Free Library wants to make sure that "children of all ages" in our region have the smartest card of all – a library card. Public library programming and books for children make a difference in the lives of students. By providing school-age children with engaging programs and amazing collections, students from all backgrounds become excited and enthusiastic readers.

Rather than wait to be re-united with her family, she decides to take a trip of her own and meets an interesting new man along the way.
