ART OF THE GARDEN

All artists are invited to apply to a special exhibition, Art of the Garden, a group show of 150 artworks on the theme of gardens, to serve as the second annual event of its kind to be held at the Haverford Township Free Library.

NEW LIBRARY HOURS
The Haverford Township Free Library expresses gratitude to the Township of Haverford Board of Commissioners, and Township Manager, Larry Gentile, for their commitment of additional funding to assist the library in restoring six (6) hours of operation to its weekly schedule-Friday morning and Saturday afternoon. Effective January 1, 2011 the new HTFL hours of operation are the following:
Monday 10am-9pm
Tuesday 10am-9pm
Wednesday 10am-9pm
Thursday 10am-6pm
Friday 10am-5pm
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 1pm-5pm
TONIGHT at 7pm: HOT AND COLD with the Franklin Institute
Join us in the Children's Room for the Franklin Institute's Traveling Science Show HOT AND COLD on Wednesday, December 15th at 7pm. It's great for the whole family - you don't want to miss it!
What to expect: Turn your kids into molecules as we explore the three states of matter. Make balloons shrink, bubbles freeze and a rubber ball shatter by using liquid nitrogen (N2). Students learn the everyday application of N2 in manufacturing, food production and medicine.
This program has been rescheduled from the original October date.
This program is FREE and open to the public. No registration is required.
Teen Web 2.0
We will be playing around with Web 2.0 applications! A Web 2.0 site gives its users the free choice to interact or collaborate with each other in a social media dialogue as creators.
Join us as we meet in the Rotary Room on Friday, December 10th at 2:30pm to work on blogs, social networking websites, and wiki spaces.

Join us for a Winter Holiday Performance by Makin' Music! The fun begins on Wednesday, December 8th at 7pm.

Welcome author Joseph Glantz on Sunday December 5th at 2pm. Glantz is the author of Philadelphia Originals and will present a PowerPoint presentation about the creation of his book. He will have copies available for sale and signing that would make a wonderful holiday gift!
