This year the teens have their very own hang out area called Teen HQ in the Community Room Annex. We have comfy chairs, laptop hook-ups, video games, and TVs. The Teen HeadQuarters is open (before our clubs begin) from 2:30-3:00pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We are currently recreating our Teen website. The website will be completed by October 25th, 2011. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Summer at HTFL
When you think of summer what thoughts do you have? Do you think of it as the slow time of year where you kick back, enjoy the sun, vacation, or take time for yourself? For many people that is true, but for the library and staff it is further from the truth. We have been busier than ever! Summer Reading Clubs, which will come to a close at the end of this week, check outs of materials and check ins have been keeping staff busy all summer, and we hope that we have entertained and enlightened you in some way.
I was so delighted to hear of someone who came into the library comment on the energy that surrounds the building, staff and programs. We attempt to do that every day, and we hope we have done that for you.
If we have entertained you, educated you or gave you a cool place to "be" this summer, then we accomplished our goals. Over 800 people on average visited the library each day and, in fact, some days we had over 1200! Please consider a gift of acknowledgement by giving to our annual appeal with a tax deductible gift. You can give online or in person. Help us help YOU!
Thank you. Enjoy the rest of the summer.
