At its monthly meeting on December 20, the Board of Trustees approved its 2018 operating budget, which reflects a one per cent increase in Township appropriations. The total amount of the budget is $1,493,373 vs $1,460,432 from 2017. Click here to view the Final Budget for 2018.
The board also unanimously approved a new personnel policy for Library staff. The policy was drafted by a committee headed by Patricia Mungan, manager of the circulation department. The draft policy was approved by the Trustee’s personnel committee before it was submitted to the Board for final approval.
The board also approved the hiring of Accurate Construction Management as construction manager for the upcoming renovation project. ACM is experienced in working on library renovation projects, including several in Lower Merion Township.
The next meeting of the Board of Trustees is scheduled for 7 pm on Wednesday January 17, 2018.
