A note from the Director:
A note from the Director:
Happy New Year from all of us at the Haverford Township Free Library! Wishing you a safe, happy and healthy journey through 2013.
Do you make new year resolutions? We can help you with them. Visit the library and browse our non-fiction section. Want to lose weight? You will find books on weight loss, exercise and cookbooks to help you shed the extra pounds. Feel like travelling in the new year or learning about other countries? We have them. Think maybe listening to audiobooks could be your answer to catching up on bestsellers and commute at the same time? We have a huge library of audiobooks; if you have an eReader, download them from our website.
I hope to see you this year at the library, either checking out library materials or attending one of our many programs! But, as always, THANK YOU for your support.
Christine Faris, Library Director
END OF YEAR GIVING
Consider an end of year donation to HTFL.
Please help us sustain the important work of the Haverford Township Free Library by making a tax-deductible donation today!
In 2012, the Haverford Township Free Library joined with libraries across the Commonwealth in the PA Forward initiative to help Pennsylvanians improve essential literacy skills.

HTFL knows that an educated public with better access to information is key to powering progress across the Township. With a commitment to lifelong learning, we are embracing new technology, community access, and fostering innovative partnerships to move us forward!

Through the emphasis of five areas of literacy – basic, information, civic and social, health, financial – HTFL is connecting the Haverford Township community with the tools we need for success!

Happy New Year!
ADULT PROGRAMS
First Friday Flick - Moonrise Kingdom
Friday, January 4 -- 7:00 pm
Join us for the First Friday Flick of the new year! This month's selection is Moonrise Kingdom starring Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Frances McDormand and Bill Murray.
Set in 1965, Moonrise Kingdom is a stylized coming of age film that delivers on its promise to bring the viewer of any age back to the intensity of just-entering-adolescence love. That alone makes this an extraordinary film. In addition, the music and imagery are beautifully orchestrated to delight the senses. The casting, characters, and acting are superb. It is rare to have a film that puts together this much talent and then taps it to the fullest. (Amazon)
