Adult Summer Reading 2021

Read books, write reviews, play book bingo and be entered for prizes! Stop by the Reference Desk to sign up.

Step 1 - Register

To register, fill out the Registration Form and also write your first name across the provided Book Image to signify the beginning of our summer reading theme, Tails and Tales.  Place the completed Registration form and Book Image in the fishbowl at the registration station by the Reference Desk.  Once you've registered, take a goodie bag and choose one free book.

Step 2 - Read

Read and listen to what you want all summer long.  If you need help finding fun and interesting titles come see a librarian or visit NoveList for read alikes!  Both physical and electronic media are allowed for reviews and bingo.

Step 3 - Respond

To enter drawings for prizes, return your completed book review forms to the review box by the Reference Desk.  To be entered in an additional grand prize drawing, complete the Tails and Tales Bingo card and return it to the entry box near the Reference Desk.

Step 4 - Win

Weekly Prizes - Five book reviews are drawn every Friday during summer reading.  Winners will be notified by the phone or email address left on the review form.  The weekly prizes include gift cards from local Havertown businesses.

Grand Prize - There will be 1 grand prize that will be drawn at the end of Summer Reading.  Your completed bingo card is 1 entry and every blackout bingo card (all squares filled) is 5 entries.

Fine Print

  • Submit as many book review forms as you'd like to improve your chances of winning the weekly drawings.
  • However, we are only accepting one bingo card entry per person.
  • You are on your honor to read books before adding them to your Tails and Tales Bingo card or book review form.  No cheating!
