GCF Learn Free

Developed and supported by the Goodwill Community Foundation and Goodwill Industries of Eastern NC, GCFlearnfree.org was created to increase basic literacy in 21st century skills such as reading, math & technology.  Tutorials are very easy to follow with beautiful graphics and clear navigation.  Many lessons incorporate video or interactive practice sections.  Highly recommended for beginners.

DigitalLearn.org

Free self-paced lessons in both English and Spanish covering all the basics such as how to use a computer and the internet; communicating online with email, Skype or Facebook; online privacy and safety; and cloud storage.  Developed by the Public Library Association and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, it is very easy to navigate with clearly identified units.  Highly recommended for beginners.

Achieve you career and educational using LearningExpressLibrary to learn to use the most popular computer programs.  You will need to use your library card to set up a free account to access tutorials at home.  Resources include tutorials, ebooks and assessments.

An organization fostering coding skills for women.  Includes introduction to web concepts, JavaScript, PHP/MySQL, Git/GitHub, and HTML/CSS.  The Philadelphia chapter hosts local meetups.
