What equipment and services do we offer at the HTFL MakerSpace?

Prusa Core One 3D Printer

What kinds of things can you 3D print? Anything that you can design, from toys to tools and everything in between!

Cricut Maker 4

What can you make with a Cricut Maker?  Decal shirts, vinyl waterbottles or pots, 3D cards, and even flowers!

Cricut Easypress

What can you make with a Cricut Easypress?  How better to iron on hat decals, T-shirt patterns, or images on a tote?

Boss Lasercutter and Engraver

Want to cut or engrave leather, wood or acrylic? The Boss 1630 CO2 Lasercutter is the perfect tool!

Rode Podcaster Equipment

Schedule some time with our equipment and make a podcast with your friends, then edit it on one of our computers.

Padcaster Equipment

Use an IPad to record a performance, or create some stop animation, then edit it on one of our computers.

XL Green Screen

If you want to disappear into your work, this is the perfect place to start. Use this with our Padcaster for a quality recording experience.

Wacom Intuous Pro Tablet

If you love to design digital art, take a look at this large professional tablet. It's the perfect tool to learn to design, and express yourself.

Raspberry Pi

Come use one of our computers to learn how to code in Raspbian. Start with the basics and progress from there, programming a Raspberry Pi microcomputer.

Makey Makey

Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet. It's a simple Invention Kit for Beginners and Experts doing art, engineering, and everything in between.

Minecraft EDU

Join us for a Minecraft EDU program, where you can play Minecraft and learn to code with block coding or python at the same time!

Learn scratch coding from MIT, or learn coding with Scratch Jr for children, and get a good start at a useful STEAM skill.

Make Magazine

Come into the MakerSpace and gain access to Make Magazine, the magazine of makers everywhere! Physical editions are available, as well as access to the entire digital collection, including past magazine issues and project information.

TinkerCAD

3D Design:

Tinkercad allows users to create 3D models by combining basic shapes, making it suitable for everything from simple prototypes to more complex designs. It's a great way to learn the fundamentals of solid modeling. 

Electronics:

The Circuits section enables users to simulate and experiment with virtual circuits before building them in real life. It includes a library of components and features like Arduino and Micro:bit simulation. 

Codeblocks:
This feature allows users to program 3D designs using a block-based visual programming language, making it accessible for those new to coding

Lightburn Pro

Lightburn Pro is layout, editing, and control software for your laser cutter.

With LightBurn you can:

Import artwork in a variety of common vector graphic and image formats.

Arrange, edit, and even create new vector shapes within LightBurn's powerful editor.

Apply settings like power, speed, number of passes, cut order, brightness & contrast, dithering mode, and many more!

Cricut Design Space

Design Space® is the free, easy-to-learn Cricut® app that powers every Cricut cutting machine. Available on desktop and mobile, it’s where you can discover, personalize & design to make your creative visions come to life.

Inkscape

Inkscape is a free and open-source vector graphics editing program. This software can be used to create or edit vector graphics such as illustrations, diagrams, line art, charts, logos and complex paintings. Inkscape can also make designs for laser cutters, Cricut machines, and Silhouette machines.

GIMP

GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.

It has many capabilities. It can be used as a simple paint program, an expert quality photo retouching program, an online batch processing system, a mass production image renderer, an image format converter, etc. It can be used to design artwork for the lasercutter or the Cricut, as well as a provide you with a way to create amazing digital art.

Shotcut

Shotcut is a free, open source, cross-platform video editor.

Wide Format Support

Supports hundreds of audio and video formats and codecs thanks to FFmpeg. No import required which means native editing, plus multi-format timelines, resolutions and frame-rates within a project. Frame accurate seeking supported for many video formats.

Device and Transport Options

Blackmagic Design SDI and HDMI for input and preview monitoring. Screen, webcam and audio capture. Network stream playback. Supports resolutions up to 4k and capture from SDI, HDMI, webcam, JACK & Pulse audio, IP stream, X11 screen and Windows DirectShow devices.

Sleek, Intuitive Interface

Multiple dockable and undockable panels, including detailed media properties, recent files with search, playlist with thumbnail view, filter panel, history view, encoding panel, jobs queue, and melted server and playlist. Also supports drag-n-drop of assets from file manager.

Audacity

Audacity is a free and open-source digital audio editor and recording application software, available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and other Unix-like operating systems.
