A supplement to the Ancestry Library platform, this resource offers research aids that will be of particular use for the beginning genealogist.  It also provides historical maps with county lines that may have changed since relatives and ancestors lived.  

Ancestry Library

This resource offers all the benefits of an individual paid Ancestry membership, with the exception of the ability to create personal family trees.  Access vital information about your ancestors such as census records, military records, immigration records, and much more.  Only available in the library on library computers. 

National Archives

A federal website providing helpful articles, links, and tips to help beginning genealogists.  Researchers can explore digitized records and access useful charts and forms, such as ancestral charts and family group sheets.

Name in Stone: Cemetery Maps & Records 

Cemeteries and grave sites can often provide helpful information in researching your ancestors and genealogy.  This website provides cemetery locations on a comprehensive map of the United States and burial information for individuals when available.  

United Kingdom National Archives

The United Kingdom National Archives offers many of the same benefits as the US National Archives, but covers a different population, which can broaden your search.  This site also offers guides to research topics like wills, combat reports, casualty lists, World War I army diaries, and so on.
