The Campaign for Haverford Township Free Library
The Next Chapter | For Every Generation
The Haverford Township Free Library has stood for almost a century in our community as a hub of literacy, education, social gathering and academics. Years of careful planning have brought us to this exciting moment – a vital renovation and expansion of the Haverford Township Free Library to meet 21st -century needs. Renovations last took place at the library four decades ago. As part of this essential revitalization the library will feature expanded and rejuvenated areas, well-lit rooms, cozy spaces conducive to collaboration, a versatile Makerspace promoting innovation and community engagement, a sensory room, serene reading areas and seamless integration of technology throughout the facility. The library's renovation and expansion project is progressing in a timely manner and we anticipate its completion in the Spring of 2025.
"Your support ensures that the Library remains a beacon of knowledge and community for generations to come." - Margaret Fox-Tully, Library Board President
"Libraries at their best are places of community access and sharing, and that's why I'm particularly excited for the wonderful new common spaces, like the special areas for teens as well as younger children, and the living room (with the fireplace!) for adults to gather." - Alyce Callison, Library Board Vice President
"I give to the library because it is a necessary and vibrant part of our community. I love seeing the seniors come in to read the paper...as well as moms and babies coming to story times. I want my giving to have an impact on the needs of the library because our township deserves the very best ." - Kathleen Roe, Next Chapter campaign donor, Board of Directors for Friends of HTFL and library volunteer
Join us!
Strong libraries equal strong communities. Vibrant communities require strong libraries. After years of meticulous planning led by Library administration, community volunteers, board leaders, township commissioners and many others, we are thrilled that the Library project is well-funded and moving forward. The library is seeking $500,000 to complete our funding and ensure our long-term stability and we invite you to consider making a charitable donation. We are well on our way to our goal.
How You Can Help
To serve the needs of our community and future generations, we invite you to please consider making a gift in support of the Library. We are striving to build a network of partners in the Library’s mission — as large, diverse, and vibrant as the community we serve. Through this campaign, we together have the chance to invest in an institution at the heart of our community that touches many thousands of lives every year. Your gift will support our future library’s public spaces, an innovative and hands-on Makerspace, furnished Living Room and fireplace, dedicated spaces for children,
tweens and teens as well as meeting and study rooms with increased computer access.
On behalf of the many staff, volunteers, and the board, we thank you for your support of the Library and The Next Chapter | For Every Generation Campaign for our beloved Library.
