Book Clubs at HTFL
No matter your interests, we have a book club for you!
Back to the Books
NEW! Join Maryanne Olson on the first Monday of the month at 7:00 pm (starting November 2026) for this retro reading book club. It’s your second chance at the classics — whether you’re revisiting the novels you loved, the titles you just read the Cliffs Notes on (no judgment here) or finally getting to the shamefully overlooked classics your teachers never assigned.
Bookworms!
NEW! Join Ms. Kyrie the 4th Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm to discover new books in a fun, welcoming, and encouraging environment! Connect with other readers, share your thoughts, and explore great stories together. For independent readers ages 8-10 (grades 3-5).
Family Cookbook Club
NEW! Come join Josh Palange, Teen Services Librarian, on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Family Cookbook Club is for families with teens and/or tweens who love cooking, like to talk about cooking, or want to explore new recipes together.
Women Warriors
NEW! Come connect with other female veterans through this monthly book club at the Library! The book club will meet the 3rd Monday of each month at 7:00 pm starting in November 2026.
All women veterans are welcome!
Manga Book Club
NEW! Join Josh Palange, Teen Services Librarian, on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm starting November 2026. For tween and teens.
Silent Book Club

We will have an hour of silent reading from 7:00 – 8:00 pm and afterwards you can stay for a short period of introductions and sharing of what you are reading.
Graphic Novel Club
Come join Kim Christopher on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 7:00 pm on Zoom, where readers discuss graphic novels that tackle real-life issues, non-fiction subjects, and the independent publishers that release both alternative and mainstream superhero, sci-fi, and fantasy graphic novels and comics.
Come join Mary Bear Shannon in the 2nd week of every month on Monday at 6:30 pm (Nighttime Edition) and Gretchen Ipock on Wednesday at 11:00 am (Daytime Edition).
