Discover teen programs for grades 6 through 12 at HTFL. We offer engaging activities and events designed for teens. Registration is required for all programs.
Teen Programs at HTFL
Dungeons & Dragons:
Meet weekly on Thursdays from 3–4:30 PM for a tabletop role-playing adventure! Create your own character and embark on quests led by a game master. Strategy, teamwork, improvisation, and a little luck are key to success.
Tinker Thinker:
Are you a teen who loves to design, build, or create? Join our free hands-on workshop series using Tinkercad, a beginner-friendly 3D design program. Bring your ideas to life and explore your creativity!
Retro Game Nights:
Join us on the 2nd Monday of each month at 6 PM for a retro gaming experience! Play a different classic GameCube title every month, connect with other teens, and enjoy gaming together—no experience necessary.
Mario Kart Tournament:
Start your engines! On the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6 PM, compete in a double-elimination Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament on Switch. Race your friends, climb the bracket, and claim the title of HTFL’s Top Mario Kart Player!
VRcade:
Explore the world of virtual reality at the library! Tweens and teens 12+ can sign up for 10-minute VR sessions using PlayStation VR or Meta Quest S3 headsets and a library of VR games. First come, first served—step into a new reality!
Tween Bookclub:
Meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 7 PM to read, discuss, and share your favorite books. Connect with other tweens ages 10–13 in a welcoming space where stories come alive, and ideas are shared.
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament:
Join us on the 4th Monday of each month at 6 PM for an action-packed gaming showdown! Battle it out in a bracket-style tournament using a huge roster of fighters, stages, and items. Compete for the title of ultimate champion.
